Election Day

Since today was election day, our ward asked for some volunteer's to stand out by the school where everyone in our district goes to vote and hold our yes on prop 102 signs. We stood out there for hours. We were so tired by the end of the day, but we feel so strongly about this issue. All and all the day went pretty good. We had one guy roll down his window and call Clint a homo-hater and another guy mumbled something under his breath as he walked by(we are sure it wasn't anything nice). Other than that we had several people who thanked us for standing out there, we also had lots of people giving us thumbs up and a few people with questions about the prop. We are so glad that prop 102 passed.

We have been flipped off, called every bad name in the book you can imagine, had an open bottle of bleach thrown at us, and much much more. And I live in the most conservative part of California! Prop 8 supporters in Northern California had it 100x worse than us though. Cars, personal property, churches, etc. were completely vandalized and one guy was even beat up so bad he ended up in the hospital just for being a Prop 8 supporter. Can you believe it? I'm so glad that it passed in Arizona as well as Florida. Good job for standing up for what is right!! Was the race close?
